SHKCA Library

Since 1989, SHKCA has kept a range of fiction and nonfiction books on various topics related to China. We also have an extensive collection of papers pertaining to the Tiananmen incident, which could serve as useful documentary material for research purposes or reference. We continue to add to our library by acquiring books on various topics related to China and the SAR of Hong Kong.

The collection is available to our members. To borrow material come to one of our meetings or contact us.

Library Borrowing Policy

1. Only members may access the SHKCA Library.

2. If you wish to obtain books, periodicals, and other materials, you need to come to a SHKCA meeting to collect them.

3. Books must be returned at the meeting when they are due.

4. A maximum of two books may be checked out at any one time. Books may be checked out for a maximum of two weeks.

5. Unless recalled by another member, material may be renewed for an extra week.

6. Mutilating library materials by marking, underlining, removing pages or portions of pages, using post-its and paper clips or in any other way damaging or defacing library materials is prohibited. Offenders will be asked to pay for replacement of the material at market price.
